Trundley’s Road

We’ve worked with our client to bring forward this unique student housing-led scheme in south London. The development is set across two blocks and provides 402 student apartments within a 15-storey building and 58 affordable homes with in a 9-storey building. The co-location of industrial and residential on the same site – ‘Beds above sheds’ – is one of the first to be consented to in London.

The scheme is part of a Strategic Industrial Land site in Lewisham and sits beside a railway line. A major challenge was securing the necessary Basic Asset Protection Agreements and stringent pre-commencement conditions approvals before work could start on site. Fortunately, we quickly turned the necessary contracts around, preventing delays and keeping construction on track.
